Floating Slab (Isolation Pad)

SCB40-2-M1 Isolation pad

(Drawing for SCB40-2-M1)

Our Isolation Pad is a high‑performance solution for vibration, shock, and noise control in floating floor systems. SCB40-2-M1 Isolation pad isolators can achieve the deflection of 16 mm for loading of 242 kg.

Key Features:

– Excellent vibration and impact noise isolation

– Durable, resilient, and non‑corrosive materials

– Fire‑safe, vermin‑proof, and moisture‑resistant

– Wide operating temperature range: –40°C to 120°C

Applications:

– Floating floors in hospitals, theaters, studios, and gyms

– Heavy equipment isolation (presses, pumps, chillers, fans)

– Healthcare facilities requiring quiet, stable environments

Benefits:

– Reduces structure‑borne noise and vibration

– Creates quieter, more comfortable spaces for patients and staff

– Maintains long‑term performance under heavy loads

Floating Slab (Modelling)

We conduct extensive finite element modeling, site measurements, and experimental studies on floating slab systems.

Our studies confirm that bending vibration modes of the isolation system can degrade vibration isolation performance. This effect becomes more significant when the bending resonance frequencies of the floating slab coincide with the resonance frequency of the supporting structure, the passage frequency of the support, or the natural frequency of the vertical isolators.

The results suggest that reducing the length of the floating slab or floor can increase the bending resonance frequency, thereby improving vibration isolation performance.
