1. Mass damper for floor system
Our engineer developed mass dampers which used for increasing damping to various structures to reduce the structural vibration.
The basic mechanism of mass damper is based on phase difference between the motion of the mass damper and that of the structure. Therefore, the energy of the structure can be dissipated.
The mass of the dampers is around one tenth of the target structure. The suspension mechanisms is viscously/ friction damped coil spring. The application is to reduce vibration on floor system.

- Natural frequency in vertical direction = 1.900 Hz
- Damping ratio in vertical direction = 0.05
- Natural frequency in horizontal direction =1.907 Hz
- Damping ratio in horizontal direction = 0.07
2. Shaker for floor vibration test
Our engineer developed a series of shakers for floor vibration test to determine natural frequencies, mode shapes and damping ratios of structures.
